  Very good happy hours specials on appetizers, wine and drinks. The hot pot is really worth trying, very delicious! If you love hot stuff try the spicy Taiwanese broth! The staff was friendly and service good. I wanna go back to try more of their other specials. They also had rice bowls on special that looked good!

  Hu-Dat has become an institution in this town and their new location in Gulfway Plaza lives up to that reputation.
  
  The interior is bright and fresh and beautifully decorated - left over from the previous "Hot Pot" restaurant that used to be there. But, there seems to be more regular table seating than before.
  
  We each ordered the rice clay pot; hers with chicken, mine with BBQ pork. They came blazing hot in large ceramic pots. The flavors were outstanding - everything I remember that Hu-Dat delivers. The vegetables had a nice bite to them - very fresh. The pork was tasty and tender. It was the perfect ratio of rice to meat to vegetables, too. Excellent dish. And the whole pot stays HOT for quite a while so be warned.
  
  The only mark against this new place was the service. Don't know if he was the manager, bartender or what, but he seemed a bit distracted. I had to grab a waitress to ask for the hot chile oil he never brought. And she did so promptly with a smile.
  
  Prices are comparable and quite reasonable. We'll certainly be back.

  The food is amazing. Definitely the best Beef Banh Mi I've had outside of Houston. The bread is crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside with the bread soaking up a little meat juice. Just mouth watering! The poke is delicious and the hot pots are so good. My mom loves the Taiwanese Spicy Hot Pot with all the veggies and thin slices beef. My daughter loves the chicken broth hot pot. My hubby is all about the Bun Combo. My family loves this restaurant and you couldn't ask for a better staff, thank you!!!

  The food and service was just ok. We ordered the hot pot and broccoli with chicken, both of which were very bland. The veggies were fresh and the portions were decent. The gyoza and egg rolls good but not good enough to make up for the rest of the meal. The service was also just ok. This wasn't the worst food I've had but you can definitely get better.
